Hi everybody!

 

Time for me to inform you a little about the last events of the half past year.

As I told you the new school year started in August. We were expecting admissions and they came! About 50 new students were enrolled, which to the local norms is quite an achievement. Not many schools can claim such a flow of admissions.

The Booni glacier breaks

Normally, there's a gentle stream coming down from the Booni Zom.  Not this day, when the glacier high up broke, and a huge torrent filled the whole valley taking rocks and everything on its way with it.

GD Langlands Honored with Hilal-e-Imtiaz

Geoffrey Langlands, the British nonagenarian principal of the Langlands School & College Chitral, has been awarded with the coveted Hilal e Imtiaz medal for his services in the Education sector, announced on the 14 Aug Independence day.

The name of his school in Chitral used to be Sayurj Public School, which was later on renamed as Langlands School & College in honor of his service for education in the Hindukush Mountains.
